About High School
Established in September 2024, the High School Division of Shanghai Jinrui School offers a rigorous international education through the IGCSE and A-Level programmes. Accredited by CAIE, Pearson Edexcel, and Cognia, the school is guided by four core values: Integrity, Justice, Logic, and Compassion.
At Jinrui, academic excellence goes hand in hand with intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Rooted in an understanding of China and open to the wider world, we encourage students to question thoughtfully, reason independently, and act with integrity and empathy. Our aim is to equip young people not only with the knowledge and skills to succeed academically, but also with the judgement, character, and global perspective to make meaningful contributions to the world around them.
Curriculum
Our comprehensive curriculum integrates core foundational subjects—including Chinese, Mathematics, Integrated English, Physical Education, and a hands-on Research-Based Project—with a rich array of electives. Students can tailor their academic pathways through specialized courses such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Science, History, Design, Psychology, and Robotics, complimented by distinctive school-based enrichment programs.
Signature 4S Program
The 4S Program focuses on Speech of the World, Spirit of Leadership, Social Practice, and Subjects in Research. Every student completes an original research paper before graduation.
Academic Results
In the October 2025 and January 2026 exam series, 72 students sat 223 A-Level and IGCSE exams, achieving a 90.6% A/A* rate. 20% of graduates earned 4 A* grades, with an average IELTS score of 6.5.
Global Perspective
The Golden Roc Project connects students with schools and communities in the UK, US, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand, and beyond. Jinrui has 15 global partner institutions.
Faculty & Community
Jinrui has 150 full-time teachers, a student-teacher ratio below 7:1, and over 70% of teachers hold Master's or Ph.D. degrees. There are 23 student clubs, 100+ elective courses, and a 96% boarding rate.
Competitions & Awards
Students have won medals and awards in the British Mathematical Olympiad, SMC, British Physics Olympiad, British Biology Olympiad, IEO, and other national and international competitions.
